Private Pilot Training

Private Pilot training includes both classroom instruction and in-flight practice. Under the guidance of a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), you’ll develop your flying skills by completing a series of flight lessons. You’ll learn how to control an aircraft, execute aerial maneuvers, take off and land, handle emergency situations, and navigate effectively. The program will follow the Private Pilot Syllabus of SCFC, and your progress will be regularly monitored by your instructor to ensure your success as a competent and confident pilot.
- Be at least 16 years old to fly solo.
- Be at least 17 years old to receive your private pilot certificate.
- Read, speak, write, and understand English.
- Obtain at least a third-class medical certificate.
Yes. In fact, many pilots wear glasses, including bifocals or trifocals.
Yes. But you must complete the TSA verification process. Visit the TSA web site and register as a “Candidate” for the Alien Flight Student Training Program. Select CFI Academy. as your course provider. TSA approval must be granted before you begin training. TSA approval is required for all non-citizens, even if you have a green card and are a legal U.S. resident.
You have to pass both a written knowledge test and a practical (flight) test.

- Fly for charity, non-profit, or community events,
- Assist in search and location operations and get reimbursed for fuel, oil, airport expenses, and rental fees.
- The FAA permits private pilots to make money in very few ways, one of which is being an aircraft salesman.
- The most common is just flying for pleasure.
The program duration is 2 – 3 Months with a minimum of 3 lessons a week required.
We also offer a 3 to 4 weeks program ( same cost ) with a full time attendance (Every day) required.
